Job Description:
- Primarily involved in various testing activities in accordance with SOPs, and utilizing applicable work instructions, standards or guidelines.
- May be responsible for extractions, test article and control preparation, solution preparation.
- Clean glassware and prepare reagents for use in laboratory testing.
- Perform routine disposal of laboratory waste including disposal of test articles.
- May be responsible for chain of custody, delivery of samples, filing and sample distribution/shipping.
- Accurately collect and record raw data in logbooks and on worksheets.
- Review raw materials and final finished media for conformance with applicable material specifications and SOPs.
- Maintain clean workspace, testing supplies, and equipment.
- May be responsible for checking laboratory equipment and respond to continuous monitoring alarms. If needed, the associate will respond in accordance with criteria outlined in Standard Operating Procedures.
- Will be required to operate specified laboratory equipment.
- Assists Study Directors with all aspects of preclinical animal studies
- Assists in step up of animal studies, including planning, ordering, and preparing of materials and paperwork
- Assists with data collection, documentation and analysis, data review (QC), database entry, and generating data
- Assists with the reporting of study results
- Assists with archiving of study records and materials
- Handles logistical responsibilities as they relate to client materials inventory, specimen shipment, and documents, including the maintenance of accurate chain of custody documentation
- Reviews related documents for consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Interacts as needed with clients, auditors, inspectors, subcontractors, consultants, and other individuals or departments.
- Provides clerical/administrative assistance to general facility management
- Ensures compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) standards
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Technical Competencies:
Your Laboratory Technician duties will be the following :
Preparing and performing routine blood (hematology, biochemistry, coagulation, ELISA, …)
Managing laboratory and clinical equipment (validations, software updates, calibrations, maintenance, periodic quality checks).
Your Study Director Assistant duties will be the following :
Conduct, follow-up & data management: data collection, documentation and analysis, data review (QC), database entry and generating/tabulating data
Logistical responsibilities: maintenance of client materials inventory, shipment of specimens, maintaining accurate chain of custody documentation, …
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, e.g., agro- and biotechnology, (bio)chemistry, medical laboratory technology, veterinary technology or other relevant disciplines.
