Your role
As Payroll & Benefits Officer, you are the cornerstone of the CRM Group’s administrative and social security management for staff. You are responsible for managing payroll from start to finish for all 290 employees with ‘staff’ status only.
You will report directly to the Payroll & Benefits Manager and work closely with the Finance department, operational managers and the social secretariat.
Your responsibilities
Payroll & HR Administration
- Ensure the comprehensive management and monitoring of payroll in collaboration with the social secretariat.
- Ensuring the quality and accuracy of data relating to working hours, absences, remuneration and non-statutory benefits.
- Ensuring the correct application of social legislation, collective agreements and internal policies.
- Managing employees’ administrative files throughout their time with the company.
- Answer employees’ questions regarding payroll, employee benefits and HR administration.
- Collaborate with the Finance team on subsidy applications and payroll accounting.
Benefits & Employee Experience
- Administer the various non-statutory benefits (insurance, supplementary pension, meal vouchers, transport allowances, etc.).
- Monitor enrolments, changes and communications with external partners.
- Produce and analyse HR metrics to support decision-making and improve the performance of HR services.
- Take the initiative to identify and implement innovative solutions that promote operational efficiency.
- Advise and support managers with the administrative management of their teams (new hires/departures, contract changes, absence management).
- Provide advice on social matters to managers and senior management: employment legislation, calculation of payroll costs, impact of organisational decisions
- Participate in cross-functional HR projects: reviewing pay scales, updating the staff regulations, managing staff representative elections, social audits, etc.HR
Transformation and Digitalisation
- Contribute to the optimisation and standardisation of HR processes.
- Participate in the implementation and development of digital HR tools (HRIS, workflows, automation, reporting) .
- Monitor the quality of HR data and promote best practice in data management.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Labour Studies or equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ proven experience in a payroll role.
- Good knowledge of Belgian social security legislation and payroll mechanisms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, particularly advanced Excel (formulas and pivot tables), and a keen interest in HR information systems.
- Knowledge of payroll software or other HR and reporting software is a significant asset.
- Knowledge of payroll accounting procedures (BOB50) and provisions is a plus.
- Fluency in French is essential; knowledge of Dutch and/or English is highly desirable.
- An affinity for digitalisation, process automation and data analysis.
- A keen sense of confidentiality, rigour and quality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a service-oriented approach.
- An analytical mind, curiosity and a desire to contribute to the ongoing development of HR practices.
