At I-care Group, you’ll join the global leader in predictive and prescriptive maintenance, where AI-powered and data-driven condition monitoring solutions help industries prevent failures before they happen. With more than 500,000 monitored assets worldwide and a presence in over 20 countries, I-care is at the forefront of safer, more efficient, and more sustainable manufacturing.
In this role, you will operate across Belgium as well as internationally within Europe, working hands-on at industrial sites to deliver high-impact diagnostics and energy optimization solutions.
What will you be doing?
You will work directly on the installations to perform three diagnostics:
- Thermographic Surveys (Insulation/Lagging):
- Inspect steam networks, hot water systems using infrared cameras.
- Identify thermal bridges, missing insulation
- Calculate heat losses (in W or kWh) and the associated financial impact.
- Conduct diagnostics using ultrasonic equipment and temperature measurements.
- Detect leaking traps (loss of live steam) or blocked traps (risk of water hammer and corrosion).
- Manage the inventory and database of the steam trap population.
- Compressed Air Leak Detection:
- Locate leaks in distribution networks and machine tools using ultrasonic detection.
- Tag leaks and estimate their flow rate and annual cost.
- Propose technical solutions to optimize the network's operating pressure.
- ROI Calculation: Prioritize repairs based on the Return on Investment time (often less than 6 months for these specific scopes).
- Report Writing: Summarize detected anomalies in clear technical reports for the maintenance teams.
- KPI Tracking: Update Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs) following repair interventions.
Who are we looking for?
Education:
- Technician Level: Associate degree or vocational training in HVAC, Fluids, or Energy Management.
- Engineer Level: Bachelor’s degree in Thermal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Energy Efficiency.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with measurement tools (IR cameras, ultrasonic detectors, flow meters).
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, steam systems, and compressed air networks.
- Level 1 or 2 Thermography Certification (a significant advantage).
Soft Skills:
- Rigorous and autonomous while working in the field.
- Willingness to travel
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain technical data to non-experts.
- High safety awareness (working near hot surfaces or pressurized systems).
What we offer
- A tailor-made training program with both theoretical and hands-on learning
- The opportunity to work with the latest Industry 4.0 and remote asset monitoring technologies
- An innovative, dynamic, and international work environment
- A comprehensive compensation package, including:
- Company car
- Group and hospitalization insurance
- Mobile phone allowance and home internet coverage
- Daily expense allowance
- Extra vacation days (ADV and seniority leave)
- Flexible working hours
- Bonus scheme and cafeteria plan
