Description
Tomorrowland is more than a festival. We are a global ecosystem where creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship come together to shape unforgettable experiences. Through Tomorrowland Ventures, the investment arm of WEAREONE.WORLD, we invest in ambitious founders and companies redefining the future of entertainment, technology, hospitality, media and beyond.
As our portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for a Portfolio Operations Manager to lead our Portfolio Operations team and help our ventures scale.
This is not a traditional investment role. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, partnering with founders, management teams and WAOW stakeholders to build stronger companies and create long-term value across a growing portfolio of start-ups and scale-ups.
Your impact:
As Portfolio Operations Manager, you will act as the connective force across our portfolio of companies. You will lead and develop the Portfolio Operations team, create clear ownership and accountability, and help founders and management teams translate strategic and commercial priorities into concrete results.
You will build the structures, processes and capabilities that enable ventures to scale, while stepping in where needed to help portfolio companies sharpen priorities, solve problems and move faster.
Your responsibilities:
Drive value creation and performance across the portfolio of companies.
Lead and develop the Portfolio Operations team (3 FTE), creating clear ownership, focus and accountability.
Build and continuously improve a scalable portfolio operating model, including governance, KPI management, reporting and decision-making frameworks.
Create visibility for WAOW leadership through clear reporting, performance tracking, proactive risk monitoring and early escalation of key issues.
Partner closely with founders and management teams to shape and challenge strategies, sharpen priorities, translate them into action plans and track progress.
Act as a strategic, operational and commercial sparring partner on growth, organisational design, go-to-market, and performance improvement.
Allocate resources effectively across companies at different stages of maturity and growth.
Build the capabilities required within Tomorrowland Ventures, attracting and developing talent to support future expansion.
Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and synergies between portfolio companies and the broader Tomorrowland ecosystem.
Must-Haves:
You bring:
Approximately 10 years of relevant experience, combining: experience in strategy consulting, corporate development, investment management, venture building or similar analytical environments and practical operational experience within a scale-up, transformation or fast-growing organisation, where you have driven initiatives from strategy through to execution.
The ability to analyse company performance and translate strategic priorities into concrete commercial and operational actions.
Experience working alongside founders and entrepreneurial leadership teams.
A strong track record of solving complex problems and leading cross-functional projects from strategy through execution.
Proven people leadership experience and a passion for developing talent.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
A proactive, pragmatic and ownership-driven mindset with the ability to manage several priorities and companies simultaneously.
Fluency in Dutch and English.
Nice to have:
Experience building or scaling shared support functions such as HR, Finance, Legal or IT across multiple businesses.
Experience helping a company build or professionalise its commercial organisation.
Exposure to fundraising, M&A, corporate development or investor reporting.
A genuine passion for festivals, entertainment, experiences, technology and creative industries.
We offer:
This is a unique opportunity to help build and scale the Tomorrowland Ventures platform from within one of the world's most iconic entertainment brands. You will work directly with founders, senior WAOW stakeholders and key decision-makers across a growing portfolio of ventures.
What you can expect:
A high-impact role at the intersection of entrepreneurship, strategy, operations and commercial value creation.
Exposure to multiple companies, industries and stages of growth.
An ambitious, international and entrepreneurial environment.
A competitive compensation package aligned with your experience and impact.
