Skills, knowledge, experience required:
- A university degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science, systems science, or an equivalent technical qualification;
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of computer communications security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems, applications and cloud;
- Demonstrated experience in securing cloud-based environments.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of NATO Security Policy and its supporting Directive;
- Knowledge of the NATO Digital Policy Committee (DPC) and its substructure;
- Knowledge of NATO CIS Security Accreditation processes, or equivalent national processes.
Duties/role:
- Supporting the secure design and implementation of cloud-based solutions (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), including establishing security architecture patterns, defining hardening baselines, ensuring secure connectivity, managing identity and access control, enabling logging and monitoring, enforcing encryption and key management, and implementing secure CI/CD practices;
- Supporting the end-to-end security accreditation process by coordinating activities, engaging appropriate stakeholders, planning tasks, managing dependencies, and tracking progress throughout the lifecycle;
- Facilitating the collection and consolidation of inputs and evidence from engineering and service teams, supporting the resolution of issues and findings, and providing status reporting and decision-support materials to accreditation stakeholders.
