The Role
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and delivering accurate financial reporting. You will work closely with senior management to provide insights that drive performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with Belgian tax requirements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support year-end accounts and audit processes
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/BE GAAP and tax regulations.
- Analyse financial data and provide actionable insights
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (or working towards) is a plus
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite)
- Advanced google suite
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Fluent in English/French, Ducth is a plus
