Job description
- You will be expected to finish jewellery after the casting process has been completed, within the specified production times and in accordance with the company’s quality standards.
- You will be able to finish our jewellery as shown on the website, under the guidance of the product manager and using materials supplied by BAUNAT
- You can follow written and verbal instructions, check the accuracy of all work orders upon receipt, and report any discrepancies to the product manager before work begins on the piece of jewellery
- You can carry out alterations and repairs in both platinum and 18-carat gold on rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, brooches and other items
- You have the skill to carry out size adjustments without this being clearly visible
- You always check that the correct type of material is used, that the hallmarks correspond to the alloy and that the jewellery is the correct size
- You ensure that the quality of the goods is always guaranteed
- You handle the jewellery with care to prevent damage

Competencies
- You live near Antwerp
- You speak and read English or Dutch fluently
- You are skilled in crafting jewellery with diamonds and gemstones in platinum and 18-carat gold
- You can use laser welding equipment for the assembly and repair of jewellery
- You are used to working in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a goldsmith
- Experience with / knowledge of laser engraving machines, polishing, rhodium plating, Rhino (or other CAD software), diamond grading and gemmology is a plus

- Setting metal plates, cut stones, etc. Assembling the components (positioning, setting, etc.)
- Decorating or embellishing the finished pieces (chiselling, enamelling, etc.) Finishing (filing, polishing, etc.)
- Inspecting the finished piece (dimensions, symmetry, aesthetics, etc.) Hallmarking the piece by marking or calibrating it
