We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a growing Data & Analytics team, working on the development of scalable data and reporting solutions.
The role will focus on building and optimising ETL processes using Databricks, integrating data from multiple source systems, designing effective data models and developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable solutions, while continuously improving data quality, performance and security.
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Power BI, SQL and data warehousing is essential, with Python, notebooks, Kimball modelling and Agile ways of working considered advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable data models and architectures
- Build, maintain and optimise ETL processes using Databricks
- Integrate data from multiple source systems
- Develop Power BI reports and dashboards
- Translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions
- Support self-service BI and maintain data quality and consistency
- Improve performance, security and overall data quality
Experience/ Skills
- Strong experience in Data Engineering and/or BI Development
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI or a comparable BI platform
- Strong SQL skills
- Good understanding of data warehousing, ETL, data modelling and architecture
