Job description
- As a Sustainability Manager you’ll be joining the Public Affairs & Sustainability team and will be involved mostly at corporate level, although ad hoc you may be involved at project level.
- As a Sustainability Manager you’ll be supporting the development and implementation of the organizations’ corporate Sustainability strategy;
- You’ll be leading and coordinating strategic sustainability assessments such as the double materiality assessments, EU Taxonomy assessment, carbon modelling exercise, etc.
- You’ll be identifying, monitoring and informing on regulatory developments related to sustainability (such as the CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CSDD, etc.);
- As a Sustainability Manager you’ll be developing, preparing and coordinating compliant sustainability reporting in line with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards;
- You’ll be monitoring the evolution of reporting standards internationally, at EU and national levels and contribute to sustainability reporting;
- You’ll cooperate closely with the organizations’ subsidiaries and relevant departments (HSSE, HR, finance, Public Affairs,…) and provide input towards the development and implementation of environmental and social management systems and tools;
- As a Sustainability Manager you’ll be overseeing the measurement processes across the supply chain (life cycle and criticality assessments) and develop and implement KPI’s – monitor and report on sustainability performance;
- You’ll develop and deliver sustainability briefings and trainings to educate stakeholders and employees on sustainable management practices;
Your profile
- You have a master’s degree and/or additional qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, business administration, business engineering, or other related field or you have the required equivalent experience;
- You have preferably experience with environmental and social sustainability integration;
- You have deep interest for the renewable energy sector and its sustainability challenges, being eager to learn about technical aspects;
- You have a passion for sustainability and its integration in business processes and decision-making;
- You have good diplomatic and social skills and enjoy building relationships with stakeholders;
- You are a team player and possess a high level of integrity;
- You are flexible and willing to travel on an occasional basis;
- You are proficient in English, and fluent in Dutch and/or French.
