This role helps ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery and line leadership in manufacturing, by leading a key line of the business (technical, system or organizational) to deliver results defined by the compelling business need of the site. You ensure that key business results are achieved and for developing others to ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery on the manufacturing line. Using a systematic approach, you use strategic thinking skills to ensure results are sustained over the long term.
How you will contribute
In your likely first managerial role, you will ensure that Mondelēz International’s safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets are achieved for the lines for which you are responsible by breaking down section targets into line and unit targets and ensuring that employees understand their individual performance goals related to the overall targets. In this role, you will also develop budgets and be responsible for costs control management, governance and compliance, loss elimination and workforce planning, including recruitment, retention, development, succession planning, and the identification of high potential team members. Without you, we would not be able to deliver high-quality snacks to our customers.

- Autonomous maintenance (AM) Step 4 systems and progressive maintenance (PM) Step 3 systems
- Maintaining equipment at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (break-down maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipment
- Total productive maintenance and Six Sigma including qualification of AM steps 5-6, and PM step 3
- Leading line teams
- Handling challenging interpersonal situations tactfully
- Influencing people in a union environment
- Communicating effectively verbally and in writing and a good attention to detail
More about this role
The Line Leader has overall responsibility for the short and long-term performance of the assigned production line/cell across all shifts. This role drives operational excellence, team development, and continuous improvement while ensuring the highest standards of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability and Morale (SQDCSM).
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Operational Accountability
- Assume 360-degree accountability for all KPIs within the assigned production line/cell
- Own the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Management Systems and Standard Work Practices
- Lead preparation and facilitation of governance meetings and line briefs
- Develop and drive the longer-term cell/line improvement plan
- Attend Planning Meetings with Hub and Site Planning Teams to ensure optimal plans
- Manage fixed and variable costs to budget (Kaizen, DVL, )
Safety & Compliance
- Deploy and manage Health & Safety processes in alignment with the H&S department
- Own risk assessment plans and drive closure of gaps
- Work with the Safety team to reduce Accidents, Incidents, and Risk Ratings
- Ensure strict adherence to all company policies and regulatory compliance
- Uphold the highest standards of **People Safety** and **Food Safety**
- Implement effective preventative measures following safety and quality incidents
- Ensure timely Safety Incident Investigations
Quality Management
- Deploy and manage Quality processes in alignment with the Quality department
- Drive down Consumer Complaints in collaboration with the Quality team
- Prepare Quality measures for daily workflow meetings
- Ensure timely Quality Incident Investigations
Continuous Improvement & Loss Elimination
- Act as a proactive "Agent of Change" by championing Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Drive initiatives and Actively contribute within the Run to Standard(R2S) / Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6S) framework
- Own the loss elimination cycle for the line and execute the loss elimination plan
- Lead and support problem-solving sessions
- Own the **CIL (Clean, Inspect & Lubricate)** process: deployment, execution, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement
People Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture
- Conduct performance reviews, objective setting, and Individual Development Plans
- Build employee engagement and maintain positive Trade Union relationships
- Drive individual growth through regular reviews and learning opportunities
- Conduct line briefs providing two-way feedback to shift teams (operators & technicians)
- Handle escalations and prioritize work for Cell and Shift Teams
- Manage interfaces with other departments (Quality, H&S, Planning, Logistics, HR, etc.)
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical) or related scientific discipline (e.g., Food Technology)
- Minimum **4-5 years** of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated direct responsibility for production processes, product quality, and people management
- Fluency in French and English

Desirable Criteria
- Strong technical knowledge across the site's processes and production lines
- Experience in statistics and process control tools
- Significant experience in manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of IL6S / Lean Six Sigma/ R2S methodologies
