We are looking for a Process Engineer who is collaborative, solution‑oriented, and quality‑driven to join our Sterile Process Engineering team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine‑l’Alleud, Belgium.
About the role
You are going to play a key role in shaping the future of sterile manufacturing at UCB. As a Process Engineer, you will act as the user representative and project leader for digital and non‑digital initiatives impacting the Sterile Manufacturing Plant. You will drive projects from feasibility to deployment, ensure compliance with GMP and data integrity requirements, and support production teams with strong technical and IT expertise.
Who you will work with
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary network including Production, Engineering, Quality, IT and HSE. You are going to collaborate daily with suppliers, internal experts, project teams, and stakeholders across UCB, contributing to a shared vision of operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement within a highly matrixed environment.
What you will do

You will lead or support sterile manufacturing projects from feasibility, risk analysis, and execution to operational handover.

You will lead digitalization initiatives impacting sterile manufacturing in Braine.

You will write, review, and approve GMP documentation supporting production, validation, and regulatory submissions.

You will ensure data integrity, cybersecurity compliance, and 21 CFR Part 11 alignment across departmental activities.

You will provide first‑line IT and process support to production teams, investigations, deviations, and CAPA.

You will drive continuous improvement, technology watch, and contribute to a safer, greener manufacturing environment.

For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:

You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, IT, or equivalent relevant experience.

You bring strong knowledge of GMP requirements and sterile manufacturing environments.

You are experienced in project management and cross‑functional coordination.

You have a very good command of both French and English

You can translate operational needs into IT solutions and IT concepts into manufacturing reality.

You are autonomous, rigorous, and comfortable working in a dynamic, matrixed environment.

You demonstrate strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
