You will primarily assist the team in the further development of existing software applications and support your colleagues with IT-related tasks and questions. You will collaborate with researchers in various energy fields and provide practical algorithmic solutions to their challenges. Additionally, you will support the development and implementation of specialized software from concept to production quality. You will take responsibility for software quality, data engineering, and transferring algorithms to web services and cloud solutions. You will continuously learn and improve in software development, IT, and adjacent energy domains, while actively exploring new technologies and frameworks. You will work both in a team and independently, share your expertise, and proactively advise on methods and components.
Profile:
We are looking for a driven professional with a master’s degree in computer science, data science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a similar relevant education. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and significant work experience in software development are also eligible.
You have a general passion for IT, computing, and software, and your broad interest can be applied to various technologies and frameworks. You are proficient in team-based software development processes such as agile/scrum and have experience with version control, testing, and deployment tools like Git and Jenkins.
Additionally, you have experience with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or AWS and are willing to tackle Azure as PaaS. A strong interest in sustainable energy, the energy system, and topics related to the energy transition is a plus.
