About the role

Stampix’ main mission is to bring joyful moments to life in the homes of thousands of customers. As our new back-end software engineer, you will play a big role in this by enabling our services for companies like Unilever, Martini, and Disney across the globe.

Your mission

Create everlasting memories for millions of people across the globe

You will inspire the people around you with your vision for the product and the technology behind it. You will be successful by doing these three things exceptionally well:

Taking ownership of scaling our back-end systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency as we expand to new horizons.

Collaborate closely with our Head of Engineering and Operations Director to design and implement robust solutions that produce millions of printed photo products on a yearly base.

Use your eye for detail and passion for photography to elevate the quality of our printing services and create exceptional user experiences.

You’ll live mostly in our back-end system, tinkering with:

AWS Lambda and other serverless technologies

Node.js (with TypeScript)

AWS CDK for managing our infrastructure

GitHub Actions for our CI/CD automations

PostgreSQL databases

Who we’re looking for

You are…

A computer science engineer with strong fundamentals and a couple years of experience with building scalable products in the cloud.

A degree in (applied) computer science is a big plus!

A software engineer that is well versed in the JavaScript (TypeScript) world, running on serverless infrastructure deployed on AWS.

Driven to deliver customer-centric products by focusing on quality of our product. You continuously optimise and iterate on our product, for which we will expect your ideas on how to optimise & adjust.

Well-versed with security best practices. We process a lot of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) that needs to be adequately protected.

A natural, curious leader who enjoys optimising the way the team works and getting the best out of others and the product by exploring new technologies.

Passionate for photography is a big plus.
