We are looking for our future colleague to join our committed team within our GO4ZERO project, based at our Obourg site. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a key role in achieving our sustainability and innovation goals while bringing your expertise to drive ambitious projects. Here are the responsibilities and skills we value:
You manage all on-site mechanical operations with a strict zero-accident target in order to guarantee the safety of all personnel and maintain full environmental compliance.
You validate supplier designs, oversee technical drawings, purchase requests, and procurement activities during the study phase (5% of your time) in order to align engineering choices with Obourg site specifications.
You lead cold commissioning, hot commissioning, and performance tests during the realization phase (95% of your time) in order to guarantee qualitative contract fulfillment and operational readiness.
You supervise the installation and maintenance of all kiln package systems—including the kiln line with preheater, calciner, clinker cooler, bag filters, RTO, SNCR, wet scrubber, WHR, VRM, raw material management, water treatment, compressed air, and alternative fuel facilities—in order to meet strict operational standards and environmental regulations.
You coordinate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to manage technical documentation, purchase order forms, and information flow in order to integrate mechanical components seamlessly into the project.
You leverage over 10 years of mechanical supervision experience in cement, metallurgy, mining, or quarrying industries in order to lead large-scale processing projects and field mechanical works efficiently.
You apply in-depth technical knowledge of rotary equipment, shaft alignment, gearbox auditing, bearing measurement, motor replacement, lubrication, piping, welding, and steel structures in order to execute precise equipment installations.
You read technical drawings accurately and manage mechanical transport systems (belt, screw, chain, apron conveyors, stackers/reclaimers, VRMs, fans, kilns, and pumps) in order to verify piece counts, locations, and system functionality.
You communicate fluently in English (with French or Chinese as an optional asset) while using strong technical documentation and coordination skills in order to bridge communication within and across team boundaries.
You identify technical problems proactively and devise suitable solutions while seeking assistance when necessary in order to overcome bottlenecks and keep the GO4ZERO project on schedule.
