As a Continuous Improvement Practitioner, you are the passionate driver, coach, and motivator behind our growing CI culture. You work closely with our logistics teams to transform how daily operations run, inspiring others to embrace continuous improvement every day. Your focus is on practical improvements on the work floor: making processes safer, smoother, faster, and more reliable through enthusiasm and hands-on guidance.
You spend a lot of time in the warehouse and logistics operations, talking to team leaders and operators, understanding how work is really done, and helping teams solve concrete problems. You are an active coach and trainer who loves sharing best practices, learnings, and "how-to" methods to empower floor teams.
You lead small to medium improvement initiatives and a limited number of larger projects, always with a strong link to day-to-day logistics activities. You are not a "theory consultant," but a true believer and hands-on facilitator who turns ideas into action and energizes people along the way.
What you will do
Culture & Coaching: Act as a vibrant CI motivator, championing a continuous improvement mindset and actively training floor teams on CI tools, best practices, and "how-to" methods.
Project Support: Lead a targeted selection of structured improvement projects from start to finish while utilizing operational data to support decision-making.
Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate the exchange of learnings, success stories, and proven techniques across different logistics teams to build a strong, unified CI culture.
Trainer Back-up Coaching & Onboarding: Support the onboarding follow-up and deliver continuous structural and ad-hoc coaching for Trainer Back-ups, empowering them to effectively train floor operators and step up as team leader back-ups.
Floor Presence: Be an engaging, visible presence in logistics operations, working side-by-side with operators and team leaders on the shop floor.
Problem Solving: Guide and coach teams in identifying safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency issues, helping them analyze root causes and implement workable solutions.
Action & Execution: Lead, support and follow up on improvement actions to ensure they become standard practice in daily work.
Practical Facilitation: Run shop floor walks, interactive problem-solving sessions, and improvement workshops.
Collaboration: Partner with logistics engineers, team leaders, and support departments, reporting to the Continuous Improvement Expert.
Mindset & Passion: A genuine believer in continuous improvement with a contagious, positive energy to motivate and coach others.
Experience: 3–5 years of working experience; experience in logistics or an operational environment (warehouse, distribution, transport, production) is a strong plus.
Coaching Ability: Natural talent for teaching, training, and guiding teams to discover their own solutions step-by-step.
Communication & Languages: Strong communicator across all levels (operators to managers) with very good knowledge of Dutch and French; English is a big plus.
Hands-on Approach: Pragmatic, action-oriented, and highly comfortable spending time on the shop floor.
Adaptability: Skilled at navigating resistance, listening actively, and bringing people along on the improvement journey through credibility and empathy.
Background: Experience in process improvement, change management, or problem-solving (formal CI certifications are a plus, but your drive and mindset matter most).
