We are looking for a Project Manager – Learning & Development / Training Projects to join our team in Brussels, working onsite.
The core of this position is project management for training and learning initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in training, Learning & Development (L&D), or organisational learning projects, ideally including exposure to AI-related training programmes.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?
You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of training projects, from the initial definition of the need through implementation and close monitoring of execution.
Your responsibilities will include:

Manage Learning & Development and training projects from preparation and design through implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders during the consultation and training-design phases to understand needs, define objectives and shape appropriate training solutions.
- Prepare detailed training project plans, defining scope, activities, timelines, milestones, dependencies, deliverables and expected outcomes.
- Produce realistic estimates of the time, costs and resources/trainers required for planned training initiatives.
- Identify the appropriate trainers, subject-matter experts and other resources needed to successfully deliver each project.
- Coordinate multiple stakeholders involved in the design and delivery of training programmes.
- Following project approval, closely monitor execution to ensure activities remain aligned with agreed timelines, budget, scope and quality expectations.
- Identify and anticipate potential deviations related to timelines, costs, resources, dependencies or scope and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
- Maintain clear records of project progress, risks, decisions, actions and deliverables.
- Provide concise and timely project status reporting to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Plan and coordinate training activities for colleagues based both at headquarters and in remote offices and Delegations.
- Manage training initiatives supporting the rollout of new corporate tools and technologies, including the Summa platform.
- Support the planning and implementation of AI literacy and general AI training programmes aligned with the organisation's AI Strategy and Roadmap.
- Coordinate online learning, e-learning and blended-learning initiatives where appropriate.
- Draft terms of reference and contribute to training plans for the introduction of new tools, technologies and organisational initiatives.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation using Hive or equivalent project/document repository tools.
- Ensure relevant documentation is accessible to authorised stakeholders and regularly updated by the project team.
- Present projects, recommendations, progress and results clearly to management, project teams and other stakeholders.
- Work effectively within a complex, multicultural and international institutional environment.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

Between 7 and 10 years of professional experience.
- At least 3 years of proven project management experience.
- Strong experience managing training, Learning & Development, organisational learning or similar projects.
- Proven ability to manage training projects from initial needs assessment and planning through execution, monitoring and reporting.
- Experience preparing project estimates covering timelines, costs, required trainers/resources and delivery needs.
- Experience coordinating different stakeholders during both the training-design and implementation phases.
- Experience designing, coordinating or delivering training initiatives.
- Experience organising training for remote offices, international teams or geographically dispersed participants.
- Good understanding of online learning, e-learning and blended-learning approaches.
- Experience managing several dependencies, stakeholders and activities simultaneously.
- Ability to identify project risks and deviations and define practical mitigation measures.
Experience working with project management and collaboration tools such as:

Microsoft Project
- Jira
- Confluence
- ServiceNow
- Hive, or equivalent document/project repository tools
- Data visualisation tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, or similar
- Business intelligence and reporting platforms
AI / GenAI Experience
Previous involvement in AI literacy, GenAI, digital-skills or technology-related training programmes would be considered a strong advantage.
Ideally, the candidate should have some practical understanding of how GenAI or similar tools can support:
