An Experienced Animal Keeper
at least 5 years of experience
Your responsibilities:
You raise, train, and manage the animals.
You perform shows during the Park's open season.
You are capable of capturing and transporting animals as needed, with the approval of your supervisor.
You maintain enclosures and surrounding areas (walls, pathways, signs, etc.) and regularly suggest improvements to your supervisor.
You clean your sector, including weeding, collecting litter, and ensuring the cleanliness of your equipment.
You prepare food and feed the animals, respecting predetermined portions and hygiene standards.
You manage stock levels of used materials, both qualitatively and quantitatively.
You monitor animal welfare by observing their behavior.
You provide basic care for animals (washing, grooming, simple treatments) after consulting with your supervisor.
You keep a logbook for animal monitoring and share updates with relevant colleagues.
You welcome the public, provide information, and ensure safety rules are followed.
Profile sought:
You have at least 5 years of experience as an Animal Keeper.
You hold a degree as an animal care technician.
Knowledge of Dutch and/or English is a significant asset.
You enjoy working within a team.
You maintain good relationships with both colleagues and animals.
You are respectful of safety rules.
You are dynamic, serious, and meticulous.
You communicate easily.
