For Nipro Medical,we are looking for a Procurement Specialist who is hands-on, and communicative to join us in our XXX team, based in our EMEA headquarters office in Mechelen, Belgium.
About the role
You will be a crucial contributor to the organization to guarantee the commercial competitiveness, quality and stability of Nipro’s supply base, and collaborate with key stakeholders from 4 Nipro entities in Europe, from different aspects of the business value chain. The position is for strategic procurement and is separated from operational procurement, from an organizational point of view, and is looking after a broad spectrum of finished products, manufacturing Capex, raw materials & packaging, and value-adding services.
You will be managing suppliers, seeking for supply optimization on a constant and long-term basis, and will take the lead on some critical strategic projects and drive results, to support the growth of Nipro’s business.
How you will contribute
Strategic Projects (30%)
- You will take the lead in some critical strategic projects that are part of the growth initiatives of Nipro’s 5-year plan, coordinate and manage internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for delivering results in some or all stages of those projects, demonstrate ownership and accountability, especially in multiple manufacturing Capex and raw material & packaging development projects.
General Supplier Management (30%)
- You will manage the existing suppliers and take care of problem-solving with changes/maintenance of products, as well as price/order/delivery issues.
- You will take care of the new product RFQ and supplier introduction. Therefore, you will team up with product marketing and operations colleagues, following the relevant New Product Introduction procedures.
- You will do the contract coordination and negotiation: contract template preparation, coordination with other internal departments for contract review, and preliminary contract discussions with suppliers.
Data Analytics (10%)
- You will support the data preparations and long-term procurement strategies by investigating the supplier landscape, preparing market index and trend analysis, doing product/technology research and operational data analysis.
Secure Compliance of Supplier Management System and Sustainability (20%)
- You will perform all tasks in accordance with ISO13485 Quality Management System from procurement point of view, whilst always taking Nipro values into account
- You will be part of the core team for the sustainability journey of Nipro, contributing to EcoVadis, ISO14001 and other ESG projects
What you bring to Nipro
- Master in Business Administration, or law, or Economics,..
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent business sense and able to connect dots of the value chain
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional projects
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
