Job Summary
We're looking for a reliable, hands-on, and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team on a replacement contract.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring that our hotel facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests and team members. You'll be responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance, responding to technical issues, and supporting the day-to-day upkeep of the property while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing preventive maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests and colleagues
- Troubleshooting and carrying out basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance
- Inspecting equipment and facilities to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Monitoring the condition of hotel facilities and reporting any major repairs or external contractor requirements
- Assisting with room inspections to ensure they are ready for guest arrivals
- Maintaining maintenance records and completing daily task checklists
- Supporting renovation or improvement projects when required
- Ensuring tools, equipment, and maintenance areas remain clean, organized, and in good working order
- Following all health, safety, and fire prevention procedures
Guest Experience
- Ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standard
- Respond quickly and professionally to guest maintenance requests
- Help create a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for guests
- Represent Latroupe's hospitality values through professionalism and attention to detail
Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with Reception, Housekeeping, and Management to resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Communicate clearly regarding ongoing repairs, safety concerns, and completed tasks
- Coordinate with external contractors when necessary
- Support colleagues with operational needs whenever required

Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar technical role is a plus
- knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Comfortable using maintenance tools and equipment safely
- Good communication skills in English and French (additional languages are an asset)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid permit to work in Belgium
