We are looking for a Senior Project Manager - Energy to join our Energy department based in Louvain-la-Neuve.

What you’ll do

Assume overall responsibility for multiple projects associated with N-SIDE Energy software development, particularly those supporting the critical business operations of our customers

Coordinate all aspects of integration project execution, including planning, implementation, testing, and delivery, with a focus on agile delivery approaches. Prepare and manage the agile artifacts (ex: project backlog, sprint plannings, scrum ceremonies …). Supervise the cross-functional project team, fostering collaboration between software developers, data scientists, and domain experts. Monitor the quality, scope, timing, and budget of the project.

Proactively identify, evaluate, and manage project risks while preparing and implementing robust mitigation plans.

When relevant, coordinate the preparation of the operational aspects of the project (i.e. training, support and maintenance, …)

Define tailored project communication approaches. Ensure effective and assertive communication within the project, both internally and with the customer, including the ability to push back or say "no" to requests when they conflict with agreed project scope, timelines, or quality standards. Maintain comprehensive and well-organized project documentation, ensuring traceability and continuity.

Build a strong relationship with customers, ensuring strong customer satisfaction, and leverage it to identify cross-selling opportunities of N-SIDE energy solutions.

Understand customer needs and feedback, identify key areas for improvement, and effectively translate advanced analytics solutions into actionable, business-oriented terms. Act as a bridge between customers and internal teams, ensuring feedback is communicated effectively from/to engineering and consulting teams.

Support sales and bid management activities:

Act as a Bid Manager: Coordinate technical teams to produce comprehensive and high-quality project proposals.

Contribute to proposal creation: Define project timelines, delivery strategies, risk assessments, and associated contractual agreements, ensuring they align with both customer requirements and N-SIDE’s operational capabilities.

Contribute to the enhancement of the company’s project management and bid management capabilities by driving process improvements, creating reusable templates, and coaching junior project/bid managers. Promote best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and overall project delivery standards.
About you

You have a Master Degree in Engineering, Computer Science and/or Business

You bring 5+ years of experience, including at least 2 years of project management leading software development projects aimed at delivering production-ready tools. While experience in the energy sector (electricity markets and power systems operation) is not mandatory, it is a strong asset.

You have solid project management skills and you can demonstrate deep understanding of agile principles and frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, with certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Scrum Master, or Scrum Product Owner being highly desirable.

You have a strong understanding of software development lifecycles (ex: design, testing, deployment, technical documentation, …). You are able to communicate and explain high-level technical problems, simplifying complex ideas for diverse audiences.

You have strong leadership and communication skills. With a caring yet firm approach, you excel at managing projects with multiple stakeholders, including subcontractors. You effectively motivate and guide cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment and successful project delivery.

You have a strong proactivity, sense of initiative and responsibility, and organizational skills. You have a strong commitment to delivering value to clients by aligning software solutions with their specific needs.

You are fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
