Azure Cloud Engineer – Brugge

Description
For a long-term collaboration, we are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to help design, expand, and optimize the cloud platform at our client.
Context:
As a Cloud Engineer, you will work within the Azure ecosystem and be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with development teams and bridge the gap between software delivery and reliable infrastructure.
Your responsibilities:
- Designing and monitoring Azure cloud blueprints including governance, security, and compliance
- Implementing best practices regarding scalability, high availability, and cost optimization
- Contributing to building and improving cloud infrastructure components
- Evaluating and integrating new Azure services according to the cloud strategy
- Translating architectural choices into concrete technical implementations
- Automating infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Documenting architecture and technical guidelines
- Actively monitoring developments within Azure and new technologies
Profile:
- At least 5 years of experience within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
- Strong experience with:
- o Azure infrastructure & serviceso Governance, security, and cloud architectureo CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Dutch and English Required.
- Very good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience with PAI (Platform-as-Infrastructure) is an absolute must
- Experience with Azure API Management (APIM) is a must
- Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Strong affinity with development teams and the delivery context
- Hands-on mentality with a focus on building, testing, and improving
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proactive mindset: you contribute ideas and propose improvements
- Good communication skills with stakeholders and the team
Skills:
Experience with Aure API management is a must.
Experience with implementing best practices regarding scalability, high availability, and cost optimization
Experience with designing and monitoring Azure cloud blueprints, including governance, security, and compliance.
Experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
You are willing to work from Bruges for at least 2 days a week..
Communicate fluently in Dutch and English.
Practical experience with automating infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Very good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Antwerp
