For our project at Project One, Sarens is looking for an experienced Truck Driver / Heavy Transport Driver.
You will be responsible for transporting equipment and materials on and around the project site. This is not only a driving job. We are looking for someone who can also help with loading and unloading the truck, and who knows how to secure the load correctly before transport.
You will work together with riggers, crane operators, site supervisors and other transport colleagues to make sure all materials are moved in a safe and efficient way.
We are open to both employees and freelancers / self-employed drivers.
As a Truck Driver, your tasks will include:
- Driving trucks on and around the project site
- Transporting materials, tools, crane parts and other equipment
- Loading and unloading the truck when needed
- Securing loads with straps, chains or other lashing equipment
- Checking if the load is safe before transport
- Helping the team on site when there is no driving work
- Working together with riggers, crane operators and supervisors
- Following all safety rules on site
- Keeping your truck and equipment clean and in good condition
- Reporting problems, damages or unsafe situations
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience as a truck driver, preferably in construction, heavy lifting, industry or transport
- Is used to working on a project site
- Knows how to load and unload a truck safely
- Has experience with lashing / securing loads
- Understands that safety is always the first priority
- Can work independently but also as part of a team
- Is flexible and willing to help colleagues when needed
- Has a practical mindset and is not afraid to get out of the truck and assist
- Speaks basic English, enough to understand instructions and communicate on site
Ideally, you have:
- Valid C+E driving license
- Valid Code 95
- Experience with trailers, flatbed trucks or heavy transport is a plus
- VCA / safety certificate is a plus
- Experience on petrochemical or industrial sites is a plus
