Position Purpose
The incumbent develops and evaluates mutually beneficial programs to define and deliver market access. Designs, develops and implements effective strategies for one or more of the following: pricing and reimbursement, health technology, evidence-based medicine review and/or health economic modeling. Communicates the unique attributes of therapeutic area drugs to external stakeholders to ensure the drug's value proposition will be recognized and maximize market uptake. Works collectively with payers, including HTA, reimbursement influencers and other decision makers to ensure continuous changing reimbursement systems remain fair to all involved parties.

Accountabilities :
1 Under general direction, responsible for identifying and getting optimal access to reimbursement channels for CSL Behring products in a designated territory.
Support the Head of MA & PH in analysis and development of market access and reimbursement strategies and plans for CSL Behring products in the Benelux in order to meet agreed pricing, reimbursement, HTA positioning and patient access targets. Help to define the national strategic priorities.
Provide regular updates to the Head of MA about proposals to be decided as well as information about activities progress and issues
Monitor the performance of the MA activities and ensure intervention to solve emerging conflicts and discrepancies.
Implement a process for the collection and dissemination of information, data, insight and intelligence on specific market access requirements, to ensure timely and effective availability of key information and CSL Behring-relevant developments
Contributes to training on appropriate topics for CSL Behring KAMs and others, as needed
2 Develops working relationships with key external channel customers in order to maintain understanding of current market conditions. Develops and maintains relationships with government, NGOs, advocacy groups, key opinion leaders and key wholesalers in order to generate reimbursement opportunities
Create and maintain updated mapping of decision processes, related to health policy and the national healthcare systems
Monitor issuance, implementation, revision of Regional/local regulations and budgets, and evaluate/communicate/counteract potential impact on CSL Behring products
Identify the Key Decision Makers and facilitators related to each step of the process
Develop/maintain relationships with institutions (Departments of Health, Commissions), payers, local patient groups, other associations and decision makers and opinion leaders in the field of health care purchasing, providing a reliable source of information and knowledge useful for making responsible choices in health policy, supporting the definition and implementation of projects/health care services
Explore and invent win-win solutions, extract new opportunities to increase access
3 Works cross functionally with marketing, medical and regulatory to develop value propositions for CSL products
Collaborate with medical, marketing, sales, regulatory, finance and other colleagues across CSL Behring in the Benelux, to develop initiatives, prepare and ensure the effective implementation of market access plans, the inclusion of CSL Behring products into Regional/Local formularies, interacting with all key stakeholders to create awareness about CSL Behring products value and to present/communicate HTA arguments
4 Provides support for major tenders and updates management on reimbursement changes, healthcare policies, funding legislation, etc.
Oversee the regional/local tender process to ensure accreditation of CSL Behring in the platforms, and the inclusion of CSL Behring products into Regional/hospital Tenders
Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, health policy, health economics, life sciences or healthcare discipline
A minimum of 5+ years' pharmaceutical industry experience in market access management and reimbursement
Having technical expertise concerning pricing and reimbursement of pharmaceuticals and innovative reimbursement agreements
Experience with developing and submission of Reimbursement & Pricing dossiers to key government and private HTA and payer authorities is preferred.
Excellent applied knowledge of managing Reimbursement strategies related to business. Individual must be able to understand business and the policy environment, their nexus, and how to manage outcomes for optimal impact on CSL Behring
Negotiating for solutions with payers and other stakeholders
Fluency in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing
This role is based in Mechelen and requires to be 3 days a week onsite.
