For our manufacturing site in Brasov, we are looking for an Operations Manager (Expat) who leads from the front, with a strong heart for operations and people. This is a role for someone who feels at home on the shopfloor, who thrives in a hands-on environment, and who knows how to connect with teams, develop people, and drive performance.

- Take full ownership of plant operations, including Production, Planning & Supply Chain, Maintenance, Quality, HSE, HR and Finance
- Ensure smooth end-to-end processes, guaranteeing on-time delivery and optimal material flow
- Coach, train and challenge teams on the floor, helping them grow in ownership, decision-making and performance
- Build and develop a strong leadership team, driving accountability and a high-performance culture
- Drive operational excellence and Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen mindset) across the site
- Improve efficiency, productivity, and cost performance
- Own the plant budget, cost structure and profitability, including CAPEX decisions and ROI-driven investments
- Implement and monitor clear KPIs and performance dashboards
- Strengthen alignment between purchasing, planning, production and logistics
- Lead and foster a Zero Harm safety culture
- Translate company strategy into concrete operational actions and improvements on the floor
- Drive automation, digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives
- You have 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- You bring solid leadership experience as an Operations / Plant / Production Manager
- You are a hands-on leader who naturally gravitates towards the shopfloor
- You have a strong drive to develop people, coach teams and build capabilities
- You are a motivator and communicator, able to bring people along in change and explain the “why” behind decisions
- You combine an operational mindset with strong business and financial understanding (P&L, costing, CAPEX)
- You have experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
- You are structured and data-driven, with a strong focus on KPIs and performance management
- You are ambitious, action-oriented and resilient, able to operate in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment
- You feel comfortable in a multinational, process-driven organization
- Experience in wood manufacturing is a plus, but not a must
- You are fluent in English (Romanian is a plus or willingness to learn) #LI-RV1
