We are looking for a Global Procurement Category Lead - Market Insights & Patient Services who is strategic, value‑driven and highly collaborative to join our Global Procurement department, based in Brussels, Belgium or Atlanta, Georgia.
About the Role
As Global Procurement Category Lead - Market Insights & Patient Services, you will lead global procurement strategy across Research, Data Acquisition, Medical & Patient Services. You will unify procurement approaches across regions, build strategic supplier partnerships, and ensure sourcing strategies support both business objectives and scientific priorities.
In this highly visible leadership role, you will help shape the future of data, research, and patient services procurement by driving value creation, strengthening supplier performance, enhancing compliance, and supporting innovation across the enterprise. You will lead global category teams and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure procurement is recognized as a strategic business partner.
Who You’ll Work With
You will report to the Global Head of Marketing, Selling & Impact Procurement and collaborate closely with senior leaders across Insights, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Market Access, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, and Finance. You will also lead and develop procurement teams across multiple regions while managing relationships with strategic suppliers and external partners.
What You’ll Do

Develop and execute global category strategies across research procurement, data acquisition, and medical and patient services procurement.

Lead and develop global category teams, ensuring alignment to common standards, governance, and strategic priorities.

Build and manage strategic relationships with research agencies, data providers, and patient services vendors.

Negotiate and oversee complex commercial agreements, including data licensing, research services, and patient support contracts.

Drive value creation through supplier optimization, commercial innovation, and improved return on research and data investments.

Partner with business stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with scientific, medical, and commercial priorities.

Ensure compliance with data privacy, healthcare regulations, and third‑party risk management requirements.

Shape procurement approaches related to digital, data, and AI‑enabled solutions while supporting responsible innovation.

Embed sustainability, supplier diversity, and ESG principles into procurement strategies and supplier selection processes.

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in business, life sciences, or a related field.

Significant procurement leadership experience across market research, data licensing, medical services, or patient services categories.

Strong experience leading global teams and influencing senior stakeholders within complex matrix organizations.

Knowledge of data privacy regulations, healthcare compliance frameworks, and third‑party risk management.

Strong commercial, negotiation, and supplier relationship management capabilities.

Digital and data fluency, with experience in analytics, AI governance, or data‑driven decision‑making.
