As a Junior SOC Analyst, you will strengthen the Security Operations Center (SOC) of one of our clients. You will investigate suspicious patterns, vulnerabilities, and threats, analyze them with the necessary expertise, and respond according to agreed procedures. Together with your colleagues in the SOC team, you will actively contribute to optimizing security processes.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Handling and analyzing incoming security threats from various security platforms;
- Initial triage of incoming security threats within the organization;
- Further analysis of suspicious activities by investigating log files and other relevant data, and escalating incidents to the senior team or the client when necessary, in accordance with agreed procedures and SLAs;
- Following up on newly published vulnerabilities and drafting targeted internal communications when necessary;
- Handling incoming requests via email and other channels regarding technical assistance with managed devices, following procedures meticulously;
- Responding efficiently to configuration, maintenance, incident management, and other requests, and documenting these actions via our ticketing system to communicate information effectively.
In addition you will study the security policy within Secutec, and you are prepared to follow it closely and take the necessary actions. These actions include following up on trainings, campaigns and other security-related courses.
