Transport Operations support – Automotive Business Vehicule Aftermarket
SKF Vehicle Aftermarket (VA) is a trusted supplier that serves the Automotive aftermarket with high-quality products and premium services for cars and commercial vehicles globally. With over 20,000 variations, our unmatched product range delivers comprehensive system repair solutions. We prioritize ease of access to required parts, ensuring timely availability and efficient repairs. SKF VA have a strong network of over 10,000 distributors and dealers worldwide. This expansive reach ensures that our spare parts for cars, trucks, and two-wheelers are readily available in workshops across the globe.
As a Employee Transport Operations, you are responsible for following up on all customs formalities, registering incoming goods, and completing the administrative processing of outgoing goods.
Key responsibilities
1. Registering incoming goods
- Receiving from drivers, providing safety instructions, registering their arrival
- Booking and releasing goods, including correcting order lines, adjusting order lines to match invoices, booking invoices, releasing goods, following up on unpacking activities, and closing the process.
2. Administrative processing of outgoing goods
- Completing and executing all administrative tasks related to packed orders, including closing trips.
- Printing loading lists, creating waybills, customs and export documents.
- Printing and finalizing invoices.
- Handling administration related to export batches.
- Managing special requests such as changes, taxi shipments, emergencies, etc.
3. Preparing statistics and filing documents
- Preparing statistics for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Filing all documents related to incoming and outgoing goods.
4. Handling X-dock goods
- Distributing incoming documents.
- Managing the administration of outgoing X-dock trips.
5. Back-up
- Applying and following up on all customs formalities.
- Preparing and following up on import declarations for goods from SKF Automotive Belgium I and third-party goods.
- Following up on export declarations for Vehicle Aftermarket (third-party goods).
- Handling invoicing of customs formalities, import duties, VAT, and preparing credit notes when required.
Requirements
- You are Fluent in Dutch
- Speaking French and English would be appreciated
- Graduate level or equivalent through experience
- Good PC skills
- Basic customs knowledge
- Quality knowledge: familiarity with quality standards within Vehicle Aftermarket.

If you want to go further
This position will be located in Tongeren, Belgium on a major SKF site. Note that you will be working in shifts, 6am to 2pm or 2pm until 10pm.
