Working in our Telenet Technology Strategy Tribe
Our IT and our Network are the engines of our business — the assets that enable us to meet customer and market needs today, and that we must continuously evolve to meet them tomorrow. The investment decisions behind these engines are among the most impactful we make. Someone has to ensure they are steered toward the right choices: that decisions are well prepared, performance is closely tracked, and the entire organization moves in one strategic direction.
That someone is you!
As Strategy Manager – Tech Investment & Planning , you sit at the nerve center where strategy meets execution. You bring clarity to complex, cross-functional decisions, build the business cases that underpin major investments, and ensure senior leadership remains aligned on where we strengthen our capabilities — and where we pull back. This is a role with real impact: your work directly shapes how the company invests in its future.
Your role as Strategy Manager – Tech Investment & Planning
• Translate strategy into action. Turn the company’s long-term vision into concrete business strategies, transformation programs, and — where relevant — M&A opportunities.
• Set the strategic agenda. Identify the key issues, analyse them thoroughly, and provide executive leadership with the recommendations needed to drive sustainable value creation.
• Challenge the status quo. Test existing strategies against external benchmarks and international market analyses and propose better alternatives where appropriate.
• Drive the long-range planning cycle. Translate long-term trends and strategic themes into a credible business plan, in close collaboration with business leaders.
• Lead strategic projects. Initiate and lead cross-functional initiatives that advance strategic thinking and align stakeholders.
What you will also take on as Strategy Manager – Tech Investment & Planning
You will be the central point of contact for how we organize and steer investment decisions across IT and Network. Concretely, you will:
• Lead decision forums. Manage and facilitate the review platforms where IT and Network investments are decided — setting the agenda, bringing together the right stakeholders, and capturing clear outcomes.
• Build business cases. Capability planning relies on strong, well-substantiated investment cases. You will coordinate with specialists and product owners to develop these, secure approval, and keep them alive as steering tools.
• Steer budget and planning. Connect strategy, finance, and business owners to ensure investment plans stay aligned and on track throughout the year.
• Own performance visibility. Maintain a consolidated view of how capability investments are performing against company objectives — and take action where results fall short.
• Connect horizontally and vertically. Ensure that cross-functional investment governance remains tightly aligned with the in-depth reviews within individual teams.
This is truly a “spider in the web” role. Your impact comes less from formal authority and more from your ability to bring people together, align priorities, and drive the right conversations to a decision. Strong lateral collaboration and facilitation skills are essential.
Your profile as Strategy Manager – Tech Investment & Planning
• ~10 years of relevant experience
• A true strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication — you make complex matters clear
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills
• Proactive and pragmatic: able to prioritize across multiple projects and agendas
• Experience with financial modelling is a plus
• High personal credibility and a bridge-builder mindset
