Skills, knowledge, experience required:
- Strong knowledge the DBMS technologies (Oracle, MySQL Server and PostgreSQL) and sound experience on at least two;
- Good understanding of MySQL High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions (MySQL InnoDB Cluster, MySQL InnoDB Replicaset, MySQL InnoDB ClusterSet, MySQL Replication);
- Good understanding of ORDS, Apache HTTP and Tomcat administration.
Duties/role:
- Monitoring the performance of assigned systems and defining and implementing adequate measures to ensure optimal performance and high availability of DB services;
- Defining and implementing upgrade strategies to keep the DB environment current;
- Managing, upgrading, and patching the BI stack, composed of Oracle Analytics, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS).
