As a Database Architect at COSMOTE Global Solutions, you will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise database systems that align with business goals and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions to meet organizational needs.

Develop and maintain database architecture documentation, standards, and guidelines.

Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into effective database designs.

Lead initiatives for database optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

Evaluate and select appropriate database technologies and platforms including relational and NoSQL databases.

Ensure data security, integrity, and availability across all database environments.

Guide and mentor database administrators and development teams on best practices and architectural standards.

Implement data modeling best practices and ensure alignment with data governance policies.

Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in database architecture and recommend improvements accordingly.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum 12 years of experience in database design, architecture, and administration.

Strong expertise in relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.

Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar technologies.

Proficiency in data modeling techniques including ER modeling, normalization, and dimensional modeling.

Hands-on experience with database performance tuning, scalability, and high availability solutions.

Familiarity with cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud SQL.

Good understanding of data security best practices and compliance standards.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Strong communication skills to articulate complex database concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
