We are seeking an experienced Capability & Learning Transformation Lead to lead enterprise-wide capability transformation, define the future of learning, and accelerate workforce readiness in an AI-enabled world to join our Global Learning team, based in our headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
About the role
You will lead the enterprise approach to building skills and capabilities across key business areas spanning across 5000 employees. In this role, you will shape future-focused learning strategies, use data and technology-enabled insights to anticipate skills needs, and create scalable learning solutions that support business transformation, driving impactful upskilling through innovative learner experiences. You will also guide how the future of learning evolves across the organization, helping teams prepare for new ways of working and long-term growth.
Who you’ll work with
You will be working in a team that partners closely with senior Business Leaders, Talent colleagues, Learning Operations, subject matter experts, external partners, and learning teams across the business. You will lead and develop a team of learning partners, while influencing broader enterprise decisions and encouraging a culture of continuous growth, curiosity, and shared learning.
What you’ll do

Develop and lead the capability and skills strategy aligned with UCB's transformation priorities.

Anticipate future skill requirements using data, AI-enabled insights, market trends, and external partnerships.

Manage a portfolio of capability-building initiatives, ensuring measurable business impact and value creation.

Lead the integration of AI-powered learning experiences, skills intelligence platforms, and workforce planning insights to accelerate capability building and organizational agility.

Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders across the enterprise to influence workforce transformation decisions.

Build and nurture relationships with external learning providers, academic institutions, and industry partners.

Drive learner-centric, scalable capability solutions that combine learning, coaching, performance support, communities, and on-the-job development.

Establish clear success measures and use analytics to evaluate impact and continuously improve outcomes.

Lead and develop a team of Learning Partners, creating a culture of growth, innovation, and high performance.
Interested?
For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology, or equivalent professional experience.

Proven experience leading transformation projects embedding new technologies and ways of working.

Extensive experience in Learning and Development, including strategic capability-building work.

Strong understanding of capability building, adult learning, performance enablement, organizational change, and the science of learning

Experience leading learning projects in a global, multicultural, or matrixed environment.

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage complexity, and turn strategy into practical plans.

People leadership experience, with a focus on coaching, accountability, inclusion, and team development.
