Lead Equine Orthopaedic Veterinarian.
Via Nova is looking for an experienced and highly skilled equine orthopaedic veterinarian to lead and further develop our Orthopaedic Department.
This is a senior clinical leadership position for an established clinician with expertise in equine orthopaedics, lameness and sports medicine, combining a high-level clinical caseload with the opportunity to shape the future of our Orthopaedic Department.
About Via Nova.
Via Nova is a modern equine referral clinic with a predominantly high-level sport horse caseload, particularly showjumpers and dressage horses.
Our team of 10 veterinarians includes board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. We offer extensive facilities for orthopaedic diagnostics and treatment, including dedicated lameness arenas, standing MRI, large-bore CT and two operating theatres.

The role.
As Head of Orthopaedics, you will:
- Manage complex lameness, orthopaedic and performance-related cases
- Lead and further develop the Orthopaedic Department
- Work closely with our diagnostic imaging, surgery and internal medicine teams
- Develop high clinical standards and evidence-based protocols
- Mentor and support veterinarians and interns
- Build strong relationships with clients, trainers and referring veterinarians
- Contribute to the strategic development and growth of the clinic
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an established equine clinician with extensive experience in orthopaedics, lameness and/or sports medicine, ideally with experience working with high-level sport horses.
You are an ECVS, ECVSMR, ACVS or ACVSMR Diplomate, residency-trained or board-eligible veterinarian, ISELP certified, or have equivalent internationally recognised clinical expertise and experience.
