LIZY is hiring a Remarketing Associate for our Brussels-based team.
Here's the situation. When a lease ends, the car comes back and what we do with it next is what turns a leasing contract into a profitable one. That's remarketing. As LIZY matures as a leasing company, it becomes the single biggest lever on our realised margin and, ultimately, on the health of the business. It's also the part of LIZY with the most left to build.
Today we process around 50 vehicle returns per month. By 2027 that becomes 2,500 returns per year, close to €50M in annual revenue, growing at 300%+ YoY. The foundation is already there: three sales channels, a proprietary dealer portal, an automation stack. But the machine is young, still half-manual, and not near ready for that volume. Your job is to finish building it, and make it bulletproof before the volume hits.
We see this as business within a business, and we mean it literally. You'll own commercial channels, partner relationships, cross-team collaborations, sale decisions, the infrastructure, and the automations layer underneath them. It's the closest thing to running your own P&L that a role at this level offers.
This is not a role for someone who likes keeping things running smoothly. It's a role for someone who looks at a half-built machine and can't wait to finish it.
Scale the remarketing operation across three channels: re-leasing returned vehicles onto new cycles, B2B sales via auction platforms, and B2B direct sales through our dealer portal (built on Airtable, Softr, Make and n8n).
Build the commercial machine from the ground up: map the dealer landscape, design the outreach strategy, onboard partners onto the portal, and turn it into a self-sustaining revenue channel you own end to end.
Own the automation layer: find every manual step in the remarketing workflow and eliminate it. Make the stack robust enough to handle 4x current volume without breaking.
Design the operational infrastructure that doesn't fully exist yet: defleet monitoring system, claim management, support ticketing, AI-assisted commercial enquiry handling, … You'll spec these systems, build them, and own them.
Maximise residual value recovery: treat every euro of resale value as yours to defend, and use data to prove where the margin actually is.
Fleet Operations runs on four pillars: purchasing, logistics, commercial operations, and remarketing. Remarketing is your home base, but depending on where the business needs you most, you'll get pulled into other topics such as pricing strategy, demand & supply planning, purchasing, and logistics. The breadth is on offer if you want it.
You've probably been in a role where things were a bit messy, a bit manual, and not quite ready for scale, and instead of working around it, you fixed it. You didn't wait to be asked. You mapped the process, found the gaps, built the solution, documented it, and moved on to the next problem. That instinct is the whole job.
Maybe you've spent a year or two in consulting, diagnosing other people's operations from the outside and writing the recommendation someone else got to implement. You're done recommending. You want to own the thing, build it with your own hands, and be measured on whether it actually works.
A builder, not just an operator: You're not satisfied maintaining what exists. You design systems, close gaps, and leave things materially better than you found them. If a working process bores you and a broken one excites you, keep reading.
Hands-on by default: You don't delegate problems upward. You investigate, decide, and execute, then document what you did so it scales beyond you.
Tech-native in ops: You're fluent in tools like Airtable, Softr, Make and n8n. You think in workflows and automations, not spreadsheets and manual steps. This one is non-negotiable.
Commercially sharp: You understand B2B relationship-building and bring a structured, data-driven approach to commercial decisions.
Highly organised: You document everything, manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball, and build processes others can follow.
Hungry: You have the restlessness to move fast, the resilience to push through friction, and the pride to care about the quality of what you ship.
1–2 years of experience in consulting, ops, or a high-growth startup, ideally in a context where you had to build, not just run.
Experience with Airtable, Make, n8n or comparable no-code/automation tools. Not "familiar with", actually built things.
Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to make and defend decisions.
Full proficiency in French or Dutch, and English (additional languages are a plus).
Strong academic record.
Experience in remarketing, used car sales, or fleet management is a genuine plus, but evidence of building systems under pressure matters more than industry pedigree.
Affinities for the automotive industry is a plus
