Drive financial performance in a complex project and systems environment

Are you a finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business, influencing decisions, and working on large-scale customer projects? We are looking for a Systems Business Finance Controller, reporting to Ukkel, Brussels to support our Projects & Systems business, providing financial leadership across the full project lifecycle. #LI-JB10

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to commercial and operational stakeholders, delivering financial insights that drive profitable growth, improve forecasting accuracy, and support strategic business decisions.

What you'll do

Partner with Sales, Tendering, Project Management, and Operations teams to drive business performance and profitability.
Act as the Finance Subject Matter Expert for bids, tenders, quotations, and major customer projects.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and ensure a single source of truth.
Monitor project performance, margins, and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Deliver accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Challenge and influence business decisions to maximize profitability and value creation.
Support process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives within Finance.
Build strong relationships across the organization based on trust, credibility, and business understanding.

(External) English Qualifications:

What we're looking for

3–5+ years of experience in Business Finance, Project Controlling, Commercial Finance, Audit, Consulting, or a similar role.
Fluent in English, French or Dutch is a plus.
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Experience in project, systems, infrastructure, engineering, automation, energy, or capital-intensive businesses.
Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and business partnering skills.
Understanding of project-based business models, including tenders, bids, project profitability, and P&L management.
Experience within multinational organizations is preferred.
Background in Big Four, consulting, or finance roles supporting project portfolios is considered an asset.
