Your job in a nutshell:
- You lead the Sarens Academy team and report directly to the Learning & Development Manager
- You drive the development, review and quality of all training programmes
- You translate operational needs into practical and effective learning solutions
- You manage the annual training calendar, planning and execution
- You oversee training materials, theoretical exams and certification standards (VCA, TCVT, ECOL, …)
- You coach and support technical trainers in their growth and development
- You ensure smooth daily operations of the academy, including exams and participant communication
- You maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support academy growth
- You contribute to budget follow-up, reporting and training-related subsidies
- You identify improvement initiatives and continuously raise the bar for training quality

ABOUT YOU
You combine people leadership with strong organisational skills. You communicate clearly, act decisively and continuously look for ways to improve quality, safety and efficiency. You don’t just maintain standards — you strengthen them. You bring structure, clarity and ownership to your work and your team.
You bring:
- Proven (first) experience in leading and coaching a team
- A strong technical affinity (experience in heavy lifting, transport or similar is a plus)
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- A structured, quality-driven mindset with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in a professional environment
- Fluency in Dutch and English (French is a plus)
- Experience with training, learning programmes or technical education (preferred)
- Familiarity with certifications such as VCA, TCVT or ECOL (preferred)
- A proactive, hands-on approach with focus on continuous improvement
