As our Support Engineer Data, you are responsible for the proper functioning of our data communication systems. These systems enable pilots and air traffic controllers to communicate with each other continuously. In this way, you help keep air traffic safe.
- You will be involved in corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair, technician support and will enlist the support of suppliers, if necessary.
- You will draw up technical specifications for the replacement and/or renewal of typical data communication systems, international connection infrastructure.
- You will develop knowledge and follow up all aspects of aeronautical data communication in the framework of international programmes (such as SESAR, SWIM, NewPENS, etc.) and in the context of new technologies (e.g. cyber security, virtualisation, etc.).
- You support the follow-up of the installation and testing during the implementation of the underlying IT infrastructure (computer networks, servers, cyber security, etc.).
- You learn and follow the data communication protocols, procedures, regulations,… in the field of processing aviation messages to ensure safety.
