Based at our Global Headquarters in Brussels, in order to further strengthen our Global Procurement team we are currently seeking an:
Group Procurement Manager CAPEX
(Groot-Bijgaarden, Belgium)
Reporting directly to the Group Procurement Director, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the category strategy for CAPEX (150M€) at group level.
Key Accountabilities
Category Management
- Champion and embed the category management approach across the business
- Apply category tools and ensure alignment with Procurement OpX standards
- Understand and translate business requirements (AQSCI) into sourcing strategies
- Develop and execute category strategies that maximize supplier leverage
- Drive and track implementation of category plans
Stimulate innovation and build a strong pipeline of new/alternative suppliers

Stakeholder Management
- Create and implement clear stakeholder and communication plans
- Align diverse stakeholders and turn conflicting needs into shared objectives
- Secure buy-in and approval for category strategies
- Partner closely with senior leadership to align procurement with business goals
- Act as a trusted business partner across Group and local stakeholders
- Support sustainability and supplier diversity targets and performance tracking
- Ensure capital budgets and timelines are met with key stakeholders
- Build strong networks with Group Engineering, Legal, and site leadership
- In cooperation with stakeholders ( Sites , Engineering, Operations) ensure that Capital budgets and project implementation times are respected and that all business requirements are fulfilled
Establishes a global network of contacts and works closely with Group Engineering , Group Legal and local Site Management

Supplier Management
- Build strategic, ethical, and high-performing supplier relationships
- Understand and manage the end-to-end supply chain
- Mitigate risk through strong supplier and supply strategies
- Align suppliers with company objectives and expectations
- Lead vendor lifecycle: selection, negotiation, governance, and exit
Manage executive-level supplier relationships and resolve escalations

Contract Negotiation and Risk Management
- Act as the internal market expert
- Lead complex negotiations using advanced techniques
- Secure strong commercial terms and ensure AQSCI criteria in contracts
- Anticipate and mitigate contractual risks proactively
Manage end-to-end RFI/RFP, bid evaluation, and contracting processes

Direction setting and implementation
- Align procurement objectives with site and group business priorities
Translate business strategy into procurement actions and priorities

Performance Management
- Use data and reporting tools to drive insights and decisions
- Deliver savings and working capital improvements
- Identify synergies to optimize cost and resource efficiency
Report savings in line with company methodologies

Who are we looking for?
- You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or equivalent
- You bring 10+ years of proven experience in procurement of Capex and/or indirect goods & services
- You have experience working in an international environment
- You demonstrate cultural awareness and thrive in diverse settings
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and have a good level of Dutch plus French or Spanish
- You identify, develop, and implement creative and innovative business solutions
- You have knowledge of SAP, Power BI, and e-sourcing (a plus)
- You generate and share strategic business and market insights and translate them into actionable solutions
- You communicate effectively and build strong networks internally and externally
- You work in a structured, analytical, and results-oriented way
- You have strong commercial acumen and influencing skills
