Legal Counsel
Heylen Warehouses is een Belgisch familiebedrijf, opgericht in 2001, dat zich richt op de ontwikkeling, verhuur en het beheer van hoogwaardig logistiek en light-industrial vastgoed. Met een focus op langetermijn-waardecreatie en duurzaamheid, biedt het bedrijf flexibele en toekomstbestendige oplossingen voor logistieke huisvestingsvraagstukken. Heylen Warehouses is actief in België, Nederland, Frankrijk, Spanje en Denemarken en beheert momenteel meer dan 1,8 miljoen vierkante meter aan warehouses.

Als Legal Counsel bij Heylen Warehouses kan je je verwachten aan een gevarieerde job met veel autonomie in een snelgroeiende en gedreven onderneming:
Je volgt op een gestructureerde en grondige wijze alle juridische aspecten op van nieuwe en bestaande vastgoedprojecten, in de verschillende landen waar Heylen Warehouses actief is: van vastgoedacquisities over aannemingsovereenkomsten, ontwikkelings-, huur-, beheers- en dienstverleningsovereenkomsten, tot overdracht en verkoop van projecten, met alle daarbij horende juridische en andere uitdagingen. Je biedt tevens juridische ondersteuning bij hernieuwbare energieprojecten.
Je waakt over de belangen van het bedrijf, brengt juridische risico’s in kaart, en staat ervoor in dat alle projecten juridisch correct worden uitgevoerd.
Je fungeert als aanspreekpunt, zowel intern als extern, voor alle juridische aspecten gerelateerd aan de ontwikkeling van, en investering in, logistiek en semi-industrieel vastgoed en duurzame energievoorzieningen.
Je staat in voor het juridische beheer van de assets van Heylen Warehouses, dit in overeenstemming met de visie en strategie van het bedrijf.
Je werkt nauw samen met collega’s met een technische, commerciële, financiële of andere achtergrond.
Je dagelijkse taken bestaan o.m. uit het opmaken en reviewen van juridische documenten en contracten (NDA’s, LOI’s, proposals, allerhande commerciële contracten en transactionele documenten, financieringsdocumenten, samenwerkingsovereenkomsten, etc.), het deelnemen aan onderhandelingen, het aansturen van externe juridische adviseurs en notarissen, het coördineren van due diligence processen en transacties, het opvolgen van eventuele claims en litiges, etc.
Daarnaast werk je mee aan de ontwikkeling van interne knowhow, en aan het opmaken en up-to-date houden van templates, en volg je relevante nieuwe wetgeving mee op.
Profiel:
Je bent master in rechten met minstens 5-6 jaar ervaring als advocaat en/of bedrijfs- of notarieel jurist, met een stevige all-round juridische kennis, en bij voorkeur een goede basis in vastgoedontwikkeling.
Je bent een gedreven jurist, in staat om nauwkeurige juridische analyses te maken en om autonoom projecten juridisch te begeleiden. Je bent nauwgezet en georganiseerd.
Je bent integer en als vertrouwenspersoon ben je in staat discreet met informatie om te gaan.
Je bent leergierig en staat open voor nieuwigheden en variatie.
Je ziet obstakels en moeilijkheden als uitdagingen en denkt flexibel en oplossingsgericht.
Je bent communicatief sterk, business-minded en in staat om de belangen van het bedrijf te verdedigen in commerciële onderhandelingen.
Je spreekt en schrijft uitstekend Nederlands en je hebt een goede kennis van het Engels en het Frans. Kennis van andere talen is een pluspunt.
Naast je kennis van het Belgisch recht, heb je de interesse en bereidheid om je vertrouwd te maken met buitenlandse rechtstelsels.
Enige kennis van en/of ervaring met legal tech tools is een plus.
