Skills, knowledge, experience required:
- Secondary education with completed advanced vocational training in photography, videography, multimedia production, communications, or a related field;
- Minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated experience planning and executing photographic, video, and audio coverage in cooperation with cross-functional communication teams;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in post-production, including photo and video editing, colour correction, audio enhancement, graphics integration, captioning, file formatting, and delivery for multiple platforms;
- Proven ability to deliver same-day or next-day multimedia products under compressed timelines, including in dynamic environments with limited on-site support;
- Demonstrated experience managing multimedia files and archives;
- Demonstrated understanding of communication quality control, including visual identity, branding, copyright, security, release, and publication requirements;
- Demonstrated ability to operate, maintain, safeguard, and deploy professional multimedia equipment in support of on-site and travel-related event coverage.
Desirable:
- Experience working in military organizations and/or with military audiences;
- Experience working in multinational organizations.
Duties/role:
- Planning, coordinating, and executing photographic, video, and audio coverage of ACT-promoted conferences, exercises, demonstrations, workshops, senior leader engagements, official visits, interviews, and other events in both controlled and dynamic environments;
- Producing professional-quality still photography, video, audio, interviews, event highlight videos, reels, short-form vertical videos, promotional products, and multimedia packages tailored for ACT digital communication channels and campaign requirements;
- Delivering same-day or next-day multimedia products, when required, to support ongoing promotional activities, communication campaigns, senior leader engagement, and time-sensitive publication needs;
- Editing and formatting photographic and video content, including performing color correction, audio enhancement, graphics integration, captioning, and preparation for multiple delivery platforms and communication requirements;
- Organizing, maintaining, and preserving the corporate visual record of ACT activities, including B-roll, photographic packages, interviews, metadata, file structures, and archival products for future communication and retrieval needs;
- Coordinating and aligning with ACT/SEC Hub personnel to ensure all multimedia products support approved communication objectives;
- Ensuring all multimedia products comply with NATO visual identity standards, branding guidance, security requirements, copyright regulations, and agreed quality standards before delivery for publication or distribution;
- Operating, maintaining, and safeguarding assigned multimedia production equipment, ensuring readiness for frequent deployment, travel, and on-site event support;
- Monitoring developments in multimedia production techniques, digital communications, and emerging technologies, while driving continuous improvement in content quality, production efficiency, and audience engagement.
